Elizabeth Gould Room

A truly romantic room. It is upstairs at the back of the home. It has its own private hallway. For many years, this has been referred to as the honeymoon, anniversary, or special event room. It's hard to imagine the queen size massive walnut bed. The carving and inlays make this one really special. The wonderful old marble top dresser compliments the bed. The room has a really high cathedral ceiling with large fan-shaped skylights. The heavy lace curtains accent the windows and the fine bedspread. A comfortable wing back chair makes time pass as you wait for your special person. The beautiful bathroom, with gold fixtures, is "fit for a queen." The shower is extra wide. Just step in and enjoy! This is for you and your loved one.

Mon-Thr $149.00, Fri-Sat-Sun $209.00

Carriage Way is a traditional Victorian style building constructed between 1883 and 1885 by Edward and Rosalie Masters. The rooms are named for former owners and individuals who were significant to the history of the home. For many years, the home was very prominent in the city of St Augustine. Then, in the 1940s, the house was converted into apartments. In 1984, the structure was lovingly and extensively restored to its original grandeur, fulfilling a dream of creating Carriage Way.
