The annual Nights of Lights Christmas celebration is rapidly approaching. If you have never been to St. Augustine for the holidays, the Nights of Lights is hands down a "must see." Every year, the city of St. Augustine is lit up by over 3 million Christmas lights. All of downtown transforms into a small winter wonderland, offering something unique for guests of all ages.
The lights are widely renowned as being some of the best in the world. On multiple occasions National Geographic has placed St. Augustine in the top 10 places to see Christmas lights. Live music in the plaza downtown, a Christmas tree lighting ceremony and guided tours are just a few of the events you won’t want to miss. The annual lighting ceremony will take place on November 22nd, and the lights will be on every night until the end of January.
Traffic flow in and out of the city is extremely congested on the day of the lighting ceremony. You can avoid all of that by staying with Carriage Way Bed and Breakfast. On-site parking is complimentary for all of our guests, and we are located just a 5 minute walk from the downtown plaza. Rooms are selling fast, so don't miss your chance to experience one of the best events of the year!
