Colonial Autumn in Spanish Florida

Fort Mose will host from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. a Local Farm Fare market of vegetables, herbs and fruits from colonial times that are still grown locally today. At 11 a.m. & 1 p.m., Annie Francis, independent scholar, presents research findings on foods commonly consumed in Colonial Spanish Florida along with original recipes. Take a walking tour through the market to sample and learn more about these traditional products and their preparations. Vegetables and fruits may be purchased.
