To Kill a Mockingbird – An Evening with Scout presented by St. Johns Reads and the St. Augustine Amphitheater
A FREE movie viewing of the 1962 version of the movie To Kill a Mockingbird will be held on Saturday, February 27th, 2016 at the St. Augustine Amphitheater (1340C A1A South). Academy award nominated actress, Mary Badham, who played the character of Scout, will speak before the movie to discuss her on-set experiences, her lifelong friendship with fellow actor Gregory Peck and the legacy of author Harper Lee. Seating is general admission and on a first come, first serve basis. The St. Augustine Amphitheater Gates will open at 5:00pm, Mary Bedham will speak at 6:00pm and the film will begin at 7:00pm. The amphitheater is an outdoor venue so please dress accordingly. Blankets and pillows will be allowed inside and the concession stands will be open with hot beverages for sale.
