On the third Thursday of every month in 2018, the West African Drum Circles of St. Augustine welcomes guests to an evening of music and community at the St. Augustine Beach Pier.
The goal of the West African Drum Circles of St. Augustine is to promote unity through rhythm and music. People of all musical interests and of every skill level are invited to attend and play on whatever percussion instrument they choose. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and lots of enthusiasm.
The group supplies additional drums and other hand-held percussion instruments for anyone who wants to join in. But it’s not necessary to be a drummer to participate. Dancers are welcome, as are spectators, and all guests can bring chairs.
