Flagler College Tours

Take a tour of Flagler College that highlights the architectural heritage of the former Hotel Ponce de Leon. Built by millionaire developer, Henry Flagler, in 1888, the hotel is considered one of the finest examples of Spanish Renaissance architecture and houses the largest collection of in use Louis Comfort Tiffany stained glass windows. Located at 74 King Street, tours depart from the Rotunda at the top of each hour between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Admission is $10.00 for adults, $1.00 for children, and free to St. Johns County Residents.

Tapestry: The Cultural Threads of First America

The Saint Augustine Visitor's Information Center Presents: Tapestry: The Cultural Threads of First America. As part of the 450th Commemoration this exhibition shares the story of how Hispanics, Africans and Native Americans came together over four and a half centuries ago, to form the foundation of the American culture and create the blended society of today's St. Augustine. The histories and contemporary cultural expressions of the Menorcans, Greeks, British and others who are part of St. Augustine's rich cultural fabric will be woven into the exhibition as well.
FREE guided tours are available daily from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and the exhibition is on display from the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily at the Saint Augustine Visitor's Center located at 10 W. Castillo Drive.

Battle Reenactment of Fort Mose

Plan your visit to Saint Augustine now for the June 20th and 21st Fort Mose Battle Reenactment! Fort Mose or El Pueblo de Gracia Real de Santa Teresa de Mose, was the first legally sanctioned free black settlement in the USA.  On June 26th, 1740 a bloody but historic and pivotal battle took place at Fort Mose. Come relive this monumental date in history and see how the battle may have taken place at the 6th annual reenactment.  Admittance is free however, there is a $2.00 museum entry fee.
