Gamble Rogers Music Festival 2017

Gamble Rogers

Gamble Rogers Fest at the Colonial Quarter

If you’ve ever been to Florida (St. Augustine in particular) you have probably heard of the name Gamble Rogers, the singer, songwriter and story teller. Gamble Rogers has given inspiration to many singers such as Jimmy Buffett and showed them how to better tell their stories through music.  Attributed for giving so much to the world of music Gamble Rogers gave much more back to his community and the great state of Florida.  In fact, Gamble Rogers gave his last breath trying to save the life of a man drowning at Flagler Beach where in the end, the ocean took both of their lives.

Along with three full days of great music, the Gamble Rogers Festival features plenty of food and drink available at the Colonial Quarter’s  restaurants and beverage sales areas, a jam area, and more. A children’s area features interactive music making, folk arts and crafts demonstrations, and storytelling, making the event ideal for families. Details of these activities for 2017 are to be announced.

The Gamble Rogers Music Festival Opening Night concert will take place from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017, at the Colonial Quarter in the heart of downtown St. Augustine.

On Saturday, May 6, 2017, which is Day 2 of the Romanza Festivale, there will be two Gamble Rogers concerts: the first will take place along historic Aviles Street from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., followed by the second concert at the Colonial Quarter from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.
