Grammy Award Winning Chris Stapleton Rolls into the St. Augustine Amphitheater
Before 2015 Chris Stapleton was hardly a household name (unless you actually read other artist song credits). Stapleton has been an established songwriter for most of his adult life writing music for artist like George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Peter Frampton, Adele, Tim McGraw and Sheryl Crow to name a few. Working mostly in the shadows of other artist when Stapleton dropped his first solo album (after many artist’s urged him on) it was an immediate success. His debut album “Traveler” shot straight to number 2 on the billboard country charts. The early momentum of the album was critically acclaimed giving Stapleton performances on Saturday Night Live and CBS news Sunday Morning. Stapleton raked in plenty awards at the 2015 CMA’s but it was his performance with Justin Timberlake where the duo sang Stapleton’s hit “Tennessee Whiskey” that had everybody talking. Traveler went right back up to number 1 on the Billboard charts and Stapleton’s new career has showed no signs of stopping. So come out August 4th to the St. Augustine Amphitheater and check him out!
