Like cupcakes? Have you always wondered how professional bakers get their wares to look so amazing? Are you a home cook who has always wondered how those different frosting nozzles work? Then you will want to stop by St Augustine’s own cupcakery, Luli’s, on Thursday, December 29 at 5:00.
Grab a friend or loved one and create an edible work of art. As part of their Frost With Me series, Luli’s Cupcakes will be teaching guests how to create a delicate white rose in icing. You can imagine you’re on one of those competitive baking shows on TV. But don’t panic – one of Luli’s bakers will be on hand to assist.
If your artistic hunger has not yet been satisfied, you can also decorate a Luli’s apron. Then you can take it home and reenact your frosting triumph.
This delicious workshop will be held in uptown St Augustine, at Luli’s Cupcakes, 82 San Marco Avenue. Call 904-824-5280 for more details and to reserve your seats. $25 pays for two participants.
When you’re done, continue your decadence at Carriage Way Bed and Breakfast. The Ruby Room has a black Hitchcock-style king size bed with a pillow-top mattress. The shower is travertine and granite, with a rainhead shower you must feel to believe. And we have wine, soda, coffee, and more sweets available to you 24/7.
You can hang out in the Victorian Parlor and brag of your cupcake success to the other guests, or you can hang out on the swing on the second floor veranda and relive the experience amongst yourselves. It’s also a perfect place for eating cupcakes, once you’re done admiring them.
That ought to hold you over until breakfast, speaking of decadence. You help yourself to coffee and juice, and then we’ll bring you a hot breakfast. Chef’s Choice – never the same as the day before. Probably not cupcakes, though.
