Take a walk – and discover the architecture of the nation’s oldest city. On April 1, from 10 – 11:30 AM, the St Augustine Art Association invites you to take part in an Art & Architecture Walking Tour.
An art historian will lead participants around the Plaza and historic streets. See Spanish, Victorian, and Colonial architecture. Observe details in stained glass, murals, and monuments. Learn about public sculptures, the Flagler Era, and the St Augustine Art Colony.
If you think you’re familiar with St Augustine’s history, take a fresh look. Revisit our city’s past through the lens of art.
This guided walking tour begins and ends at the St Augustine Art Association, at 22 Marine Street. The fee is $20 per person, and reservations are required – please call 904-824-2310. Some of our streets are uneven – please wear comfortable walking shoes.
After the tour, enjoy one of St Augustine’s fabulous restaurants (we are always happy to make recommendations), maybe do a little shopping, or stop into an art gallery or house museum. Then head on over – all of the historic district is within walking distance to Carriage Way Bed and Breakfast.
If you need to relax those feet after a day of walking, may I recommend the Emerald Room? It has a Jacuzzi air-jet tub for two, perfect for soaking your feet and the rest of you, too. Afterwards, wrap yourself in Carriage Way bathrobes and sit in the comfy chairs beside your electric fireplace while you decide where to go for dinner.
Beautiful St Augustine can wear you out – make sure you relax in style at Carriage Way Bed and Breakfast.
