Castillo by Candlelight: Women’s Work
Saturday, March 24, 2018, beginning at 6:00 p.m
The Castillo de San Marcos presents a special Candlelight Tour on Saturday, March 24, 2018, that focuses on the role that women have played in the various eras of St. Augustine’s diverse history. The Castillo by Candlelight tour is entitled Women’s Work: Keeping a Colony Alive, and is presented by the National Park Service as part of Women’s History Month.
The guided tours, led by park rangers, take visitors back through time, as they meet re-enactors portraying significant women of St. Augustine’s history and hear their stories.
Admission: Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 5 – 15, and free for children under 5. Tickets are available two weeks in advance of the tours at the Castillo ticket booth or by calling (904) 829-6506, ext. 233. Tours are limited to 30 people per tour, so tickets may sell out.
When: Saturday, March 24, 2018. Tours depart at 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, and 8:00 p.m.
Where: The Castillo de San Marcos is located at 1 S. Castillo Dr. in historic St. Augustine.
