Celebrate 100 Years of the National Park Service with FREE Admission into the Castillo de San Marcos Fort!
Visit Saint Augustine, FL during Saturday, April 16th through Sunday, April 24th, 2016 and visit the Castillo de San Marcos Fort for FREE! In honor of the National Park Service, who is celebrating their 100th year of existence, both the Castillo de San Marcos Fort (1 South Castillo Drive) as well as Fort Mantanzas (8635 A1A South) will be celebrating with FREE admission during the week. Carriage Way Bed and Breakfast is just a few blocks from the Castillo and a scenic 14 miles from Fort Matanzas. The “Find Your Park Plein Air” will also be taking place where artists are invited to paint the two National Monuments as part of the commemoration of the centennial. All are encouraged and welcomed to partake in painting (you will need your own art supplies) and to enter the finished pieces into the juried art show to be held on June 9th, 2016. The fee to enter up to two pieces of artwork into the show is $30.
