City – Lighthouse Ferry Coming to Downtown

St. Augustine Municpal Marina will soon be home to a very exciting service, a ferry to shuttle guests from downtown to Anastasia Island Lighthouse. This exciting service was approved by the St. Augustine City Commisioner on the basis that it accurately reflects St. Augustines history. Henry Flagler once commisioned a ferry service to carry his hotel guests from downtown to Anastasia Island before the Bridge of Lions was built.

St. Augustine resident Kevin Pagan has committed to a daily schedule of 10am-6pm. A 30 foot ramp and a 30 foot dock will be built on the north side of the county pier. Local companies have already pledged their support to Pagan, ensuring that this dream will most definitely become a reality.

As a local downtown business, we are proud to bring you this news. Downtown has long needed a service such as this to accomodate its guests. Downtown St. Augustine is a small maze of narrow one way streets. The ferry service will add a level of simplicity to your vacation. By staying at Carriage Way, you will receieve complimentary onsite parking, and we are walking distance to most major attractions. Once the ferry service is up and running there will be very few reasons to get in your car while you're staying with us. Call us today so that we can help you start planning your vacation!
