Celebrating Easter Sunday in St Augustine, FL
Celebrate this Easter Sunday in St Augustine, the nation’s oldest city, at the First Parish: the Cathedral Basilica (38 Cathedral Place). The Cathedral Basilica is holding Easter Sunday mass at 7:00am, 9:00am and 11:00am. The Mission Nombre de Dios (27 Ocean Avenue) is also holding an outdoor Easter mass on the Mission grounds at 7:00am and 10:00am (seating is limited, bring your own chair and/or blanket). If you are an early riser, a Christian Vilano Beach Easter Sunday Service (Vilano Beach Ramp) will be held at 6:45am. This is an outdoor service held on the beach including song, dance, drama and a Christian message.
An Easter Day Parade will also take place on Sunday, March 27th from 3:00pm to 4:30pm. The Parada de los Caballos y Coaches or Parade of Horses and Carriages is to include marching bands, floats, drill teams and St Augustine carriage horses wearing festive Easter Sunday hats! The Parada will begin at the Mission Nombre de Dios (27 Ocean Avenue) and will continue South along San Marco Avenue and will end near the bayfront of downtown St Augustine, FL.
Carriage Way guests can walk to most of the above mentioned Easter Sunday services and are just a few blocks from the bayfront for the Parada de los Caballos y Coaches!
