Put a bookmark in your day planner for Saturday, September 23 – it’s the annual Florida Heritage Book Festival, held at Flagler College.
This free event is a fantastic experience for readers – participate in workshops, shop for books, and brush elbows with dozens of authors. Each year a Literary Legend is selected, and this year’s honoree is Steve Berry. Berry writes the #1 international bestselling Cotton Malone series of thrillers, which have been translated into 40 languages. He will be signing his books at 10:00 AM.
Other authors leading talks and workshops include Janice Hardy, Andre Frattino, and Tim Dorsey. Lovers of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction will all find something to interest them.
It will be a full day, from 8:30 – 4:00. The Festival takes place in the Ringhaver Center at Flagler College. If you’re coming in from out of town, there will be a free shuttle from the Visitor’s Center Garage.
But we suggest you stay at Carriage Way B&B. The Florida Heritage Book Festival is within easy walking distance, of course – we are located right in the heart of the Historic District. And after the festival, you can read or write in your room, in the inn parlor, or on the upstairs balcony. Your convenient and luxurious room is sure to stir your creativity.
