Studies Show Repeat Tourism At All Time High

“It says that they’re finding something they like.” CEO of the local Visitors and Convention Bureau Richard Goldman says about the growth in repeat visitors to St. Augustine.

The secret about St. Augustine is out, we have made the top tier of every destination list created it seems.  Tourism is up; tourists are coming back and best of all they are bringing their friends.  Is it any surprise that the nation’s oldest city could also be the nation’s best? We boast the most beautiful beaches, historic landmarks and friendliest locals so, who wouldn’t want to come back?

According to reports St. Augustine had 6.3 million visitors last year and more than 60 percent were repeat visitors.  So not only are they “finding something they like” but they’re liking it a lot, because 30 percent of those visitors admitted to visiting four or more times!
