Cancellation Policies

  • The first night of your stay plus taxes per room will be charged at time of booking to guarantee your reservation. If you cancel your reservation, or *see Weather policy below, please call us more than 7 days prior to your arrival date (14 days for group bookings, holidays and special events) to cancel your reservation, less a $50 cancellation fee per room no matter what the reason is. In the unlikely event that you cancel on the 7th day or less than 7 days prior to your arrival date or shorten your original stay dates or *see Weather policy below or *see Weather policy below, (14 days for group bookings, holidays and special events), shorten your stay or check out early, will result in a one night room and tax charge per room. Refunds are not available for no-shows.
  • *Weather and Hurricane Policy-We cannot be responsible for delays, interruptions, cancellations, inn closings or inconveniences in your trip due to weather. However, if you have a confirmed reservation and you are due to arrive within 24 hours and an evacuation order (due to hurricane warning) is issued, you will receive a transfer of any deposits to a future reservation. No refunds will be made. We highly suggest travel insurance: www.insuremytrip.com
  • A Group Service Charge of $10 per night per room will be added to Group Reservations of 3 or more rooms whether booking as a group or booking separately. This provides for the deserved extra attention, extra consumed amenities and staff gratuities.
  • 10.5% Government Taxes are added to your nightly rate.
  • Visa, Master card, Discover and American Express are accepted.

Amenities included in your rate

  • On-site parking – one standard-sized vehicle parking space per guest room is included. Large trucks cannot be accomodated but can be parked at the parking garage 1.5 blocks away for a one-time $15 entry fee. Once you park, you truly won’t need your car until you are ready to go home. There is no extra on-site parking.
  • Chef’s Choice Hot scrumptious breakfast is served table side every morning between 8:30 am – 10:00 am.
  • Complimentary beverages of coffee, hot teas, sodas, bottled water, cream sherry and wine are available 24/7
  • Freshly baked sweets every afternoon
  • Upstairs and downstairs verandas for all guests to enjoy
  • Flat screen TVs with HDTV in each guest room
  • Wireless internet access throughout the inn


  • All guest rooms accommodate 2 adults with one King bed or one Queen bed.
  • We are an adult only facility. All guests must be 21 years old and up with proper ID at check-in.
  • Our 3 bedroom, 3 bath secluded Cottage sleeps up to 6 adults featuring 2 king rooms with air-jet tubs for 2 plus rainhead showers & body sprays baths and one queen room with walk-in shower with rainhead & body sprays bath. A living area with 62″ HDTV flat screen TV, dining room and kitchenette with mini-fridge and microwave complete the common areas.
  • We are unable to accept pets with the exception of ADA Service Dogs. ADA Regulations do not include therapy or comfort dogs.
  • Smoking is not permitted except on the front verandas.
  • Bridal parties may only be accommodated in the full Cottage. Hair and makeup may not be done in the guest rooms. Please call the inn for further details before booking.
  • Unregistered guests are not permitted in the guest rooms nor in the common areas after hours.
  • Registration times: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM. If your schedule allows, we encourage you to arrive early in the day, secure your on-site parking and come into the inn to register. Rooms are not guaranteed available until 3:00 PM. We are happy to check you in early, if the room is available.
  • If arriving after 5:00 PM, please call 904-829-2467 to make after-hours lockbox check-in arrangements. Lockboxes are only issued upon availability and advanced notice.
    ****Check-ins and Lockboxes cannot be accommodated Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. On Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day so that staff may enjoy time with their families, they will depart directly after serving breakfast. Rooms will not be freshened; however, rest assured any needed linens/towels, bottled water, etc. will be provided prior to their departure.****
  • Carriage Way Gift Certificates may be redeemed on our website booking engine by clicking on the “Redeem Gift Certificate” using the long code in the bottom right hand corner of the Gift Certificate or call the inn directly. BedandBreakfast.com Gift Certificates cannot be redeemed in our online system, nor can they be applied after booking. You must book directly via BedandBreakfast.com to use BedandBreakfast.com gift certificates.
  • Front desk hours are typically from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
