Just returned from our NINTH stay at the Carriage Way. It has become our “go-to” destination for all our special occasions. Upon arriving at Carriage Way, the friendly hosts, Michaele and Dean, greet you with a cool, damp towel , so refreshing! They will offer you tips on local sights and information on anything else, based on your special interests. The inn is in a perfect location. You can park in the free B&B parking-lot and walk to all the points of interest, then come back to the inn to enjoy a cold drink, coffee, tea or a freshly-made cookie snack, any time of the day. Michaele and Dean have made every effort to maintain the historical aspect of Carriage Way with the antique furniture, old hardwood flooring, and the beautiful stained glass windows in the front parlor, while still providing all the modern comforts – air-conditioning, places to charge all those necessary “gadgets” we travelers can’t seem to do without, private bathrooms with showers, etc. The rooms are fairly small but wonderfully comfortable and sparkling clean, thanks to the hard work of Laurie and MaryLyn, who also provide the delicious breakfasts. Ah! Those breakfasts are delightful! Served in the parlor on little tables decorated with fresh flowers and napkins in pretty, antique napkin-holders, the breakfasts are freshly-cooked, creative, and delicious. Laurie and MaryLyn will also try to accommodate your dietary restriction – just let Michaele or Dean know ahead of time. We enjoy Carriage Way so much, we know we will be returning again and again in the future.
