“An Oasis in St. Augustine…”

There are quite a few B & B’s in the historic district of St. Augustine, and it can be very difficult to find just the right one. We did, at the Carriage Way Inn. It is within walking distance to many attractions, restaurants, and it is just a couple of blocks to St. George St., where the action is. It is for adults only, great for us. The location was perfect, extremely quiet at night, wonderful hospitality from the entire staff, and a delicious breakfast every morning, served with a smile. The room we had was very nice, not large, but adequate, and the only thing I would like to have had different was having the bathroom facilities all in one place. It was a bit disjointed, with the shower by the bed.. We had selected a different room, but it was suggested that another room might be quieter. It definitely was that……..we would like to have tried an upstairs room, but we just can’t handle stairs like we used to. Everything else made up for that. There were fresh baked cookies every afternoon, soft drinks, coffee, tea and wine available 24/7, as well as water. We were celebrating our birthdays, and it was the perfect place for us. We enjoyed the visit immensely, and would love to visit again in the future.
