The “Must Stay” Place in St. Augustine

My wife and I discovered the Carriage Way a few years ago while visiting St. Augustine and decided our next weekend stay would be at this location.
There are several positives to this with none one more important than the other so I’ll start with location….it’s a stone’s throw away from St. George street and only a few blocks north of Flagler College and with on-site parking available (no charge) I recommend bringing comfortable shoes since any location is within walking distance.
The hosts and staff are welcoming, informative and ensure your needs are met and questions answered. We frequent B&B on our travels and this was the first time during check-in we received an orientation of the area. The manager (Dean) sat us down and provided a map and detailed attractions and restaurants…not franchises, but locally owned.
The rooms are very comfortable and welcoming. Although a historic building it has modern heating/air conditioning and showers. (The sunflower shower head is awesome!)
Morning breakfast is a delicious and light fare; juice is fresh and coffee stays good and hot in the heavy mugs.
Our room was on the second floor away from the street so as far as traffic noise…even during the times we were on ground floor throughout the day…none could be heard.
This will be our place for return visits to St. Augustine.
