Although we were only in St. Augustine for one night, the Carriage Way B&B did not disappoint. We were greeted by the proprietor and guided to a parking space–not a trivial item in the tight confines of old St. Augustine. We then got a thorough briefing on what to do in town, where to eat, some history, and the amenities of the house, which included a refrigerator in the common area stocked with wine and soft drinks, a carafe of sherry in our bedroom, and, best of all, a pot of coffee outside the room early in the morning before breakfast. The room and bathroom were charming, clean, and very well air-conditioned, a necessity in the humid, 90+ August weather. Breakfast was full and tasty. What more does one need?
