Take a trolley tour enjoy the 25th Annual Nights of Light on St. Augustine's Famous Nights of Lights Trolley Tour. More than three million white lights adorning every corner of the historic district, showing even brighter with your complimentary viewing glasses.
The city of St. Augustine provides a free park and ride shuttle service downtown on select days for visitors who have come to see Nights of Lights. This service provides free shuttles on select dates from two parking locations north of downtown to the Visitor Information Center in historic St. Augustine.
Lit up with white lights of the Nights of Lights, a tradition that stems from the white candles used during the holidays in Colonial times, the museum and garden will be decked out with Menorcan decorations, have a fully decked-out Christmas tree.
Cruise the waterfront enjoying the millions of white lights covering downtown St. Augustine that look stunning from a waterfront view while also taking in the landmarks that make the city so very special.
The Schooner Freedom gives a new dimension with its Nights of Lights sails, offering a breathtaking view from the water of the city's skyline and the lights reflecting in the water. Advance reservations are required for all the Nights of Lights sails.

Which sounds the most exciting, viewing a feeding demonstration, buying food to feed a smaller alligator, or petting one? Who needs to decide when you can do it all right here. The park also has birds, monkeys, and a few other exotic animals.

HISTORY AND HERITAGE
If you tour and visit Anastasia Island State Park, stop by the other St. Augustine Attractions nearby such as the St. Augustine Lighthouse or the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument. Both of these spots are convenient to our St. Augustine Inn, Carriage Way. 
No trip to the Old City is complete without touring some the historic sites in the area. Touring the historic St. Augustine Florida Attractions will give you an idea of the rich history of the city. St. Augustine is the oldest continuously occupied European-established settlement in the United States.
The Lightner Museum is a museum of antiquities, mostly American Gilded Age pieces, housed within the historic Hotel Alcazar building in downtown St. Augustine. This 1887 Spanish Renaissance Revival style building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum is a museum dedicated to pirate artifacts. Formerly known as the Pirate Soul Museum, the St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum is an amazing and educational experience. After building his famous Ponce de Leon Hotel, Flagler wanted a safe place for his guest to roam, so he built the old jail to lock up the criminals of St. Augustine. The Old Jail features maximum security cells where only the most dangerous criminals were kept.
Take a walk through time and see what it was like to live in St. Augustine in the 16th, 17th and 18th century. This 2 acre informational park is a beautiful way the experience the Nation's Oldest City the way it once was.
The Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park is very informative and is the original site of the nation's oldest city. In 1513, Juan Ponce de Leon explored this area and Pedro Menendez settled their in 1565, making St. Augustine the oldest European settlement in the United States.
Gracia Real de Santa Teresa Mose was established in 1738 by Colonial Spanish Florida's Governor, Manual Montiano to give sanctuary to Africans challenging enslavement in the English Colony of Carolina. Flight to Freedom: Fort Mose was home to over 100 former slaves who made the perilous journey south to freedom in Spanish Florida.
Over 1400 people left the Mediterranean and set sail for British East Florida in 1768. This was the largest single group of European settlers to immigrate as a single group to the New World. A major contribution to early American history, the Menorcans courageously tamed the wilderness and settled a portion of Northeast Florida. 
Five ships sailed into a cove on the coastline of Spanish as La Florida. Under the command of Pedro Menendez de Aviles, they came to the New World from Spain. Sent by King Philip II, they arrived in hopes of establishing a colony securing the land for Spain, and to convert the native American Indians to Christianity.

Intended to reflect the homestead life for Minorcan settlers, the Genopoly House has been preserved for future generations to enjoy. Committed to the preservation and interpretation of historically significant structures, artifacts and documentary material, the St. Augustine Historic Society owns and operates The Oldest House Museum, the St. Augustine Historical Research Library and provide beautiful historical gardens for events and weddings.
The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum, Inc. is a private, non-profit museum dedicated to its mission "to discover, preserve, present and keep alive the stories of the Nation's Oldest Port as symbolized by our working St. Augustine Lighthouse.
Formerly the residence of human rights activist and journalist/author Stetson Kennedy, Beluthahatchee Park is located in northwest St. Johns County on the William Bartram Scenic Highway (SR 13).

Home to prominent Spanish, British and American families, who helped shape three centuries of St. Augustine's history, the Peña-Peck House was built circa 1750 by order of the King of Spain for Spanish Royal Treasurer Juan Estevan de Peña and his wife Maria Antonia.
1925 Lincolnville residents saw the completion of a new school, all masonry and coquina, named "Excelsior" and became Lincolnville's educational and cultural hub for more than four decades.

Representing local, award winning artists in St. Augustine, Aviles Gallery offers a variety of artistic expression consisting of an array of styles and tastes. The gallery is located on Aviles Street, the oldest street in the oldest city in the nation.
Displaying the contemporary artwork of local, national and international artists, the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum is located on the campus of Flagler College and frequently showcases the artwork of Flagler faculty members and students, as well as public programs.
