The Amp

The St. Augustine Amphitheatre
Proudly Introduces its New Brand Identity:
The Amp "Big Acts, Small Venue."
The award-winning, outdoor music venue proudly adopted "The Amp" as its formal moniker, with its new logo reflecting the venue's iconic tent tops, paired with colors that represent the beachside pallet of St. Augustine. The venue's tagline, "Big Acts, Small Venue" encapsulates what the community and the concert industry love about the venue and why it is often simply referred to as "The Amp."

St. Johns County made the decision to invest in refurbishing the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and after 5 years of construction and a sizeable investment, the Amphitheatre is a state-of-the-art performing arts venue with the capacity to hold up to 4100 concert goers. A brand new conference room, 4 concession stands, a merchandise area, a large plaza, and an elaborate arboretum of walking trails make up the new facility.

Commemorating St. Augustine's 400th anniversary, the St. Augustine Amphitheatre was built in 1965 and is now run by the St. Johns County Park and Recreation Department. Adding a canopy over the main stage and seating areas, the Amphitheatre has undergone an $8.7 million renovation and seats 3,402 people.

What Guests Say About THe St. Augustine Amphitheatre

Awesome venue!!
This was our first time at the amphitheater for a concert. Saw Trevor Noah there and sat in the 100 section. Great seats, but there really is no bad seat at this venue. The acoustics were great and there was plenty of choices for food and drink. There was a couple of local food trucks and a good variety of libations available. We didn't buy a parking pass with our tickets (which we weren't aware was an option), but we parked in the Elks lot next door and it was pretty easy in and out. They do also have a shuttle at a few satellite parking lots. Great experience!! They also have a great Farmer's market on Saturdays!!
Excellent Venue
No idea what to expect, but were very impressed with this venue. Traffic control kept things moving, the parking lot was well attended - no driving in circles looking for a spot. Inside the food and beverage options were fantastic! I don't think there's a bad seat. Acoustics are fantastic - we were almost in the back row and could hear & see everything very clearly. If you go, I highly recommend you pay for premium parking - we zipped in & out and were steps from the entrance - well worth the $s.
Every seat is terrific!
Love being outdoors among the forest!

Best place ever to see a concert because the staff is super friendly, its easy to move around, great choice of food, the bathroom lines move pretty fast, the sound is top notch. No smoking allowed so for everyone still vaping in the audience, that's a "no" too. Please be considerate of people around you that don't smoke or vape. Concerts are over by 10pm or 10:30pm due to noise ordinance which is great because you have a super time and can still get up the next morning and go to work. : ) The setting is magical since the venue is set in a canopy of tall trees. Lots of happy people dancing and smiling. Go and feel the vibe.
